[psnet013] Seb Steimel - Cheats EP

Seb Steimel - Cheats EP

It’s evident by the track names that Seb Steimel has done his fair share of time behind PC Doom.

Seb has been part of the Pinksilver Family for quite sometime. We are happy to have a full EP front and centre for your dance floor pleasure. This 5 track release is accompanied by a heaving trademark techno remix courtesy of Melbourne’s Craig McWhinney.

01:: IDCHOPPERS (Chainsaw) A chainsaw is a portable mechanical, motorized saw. It is most commonly used in logging activities or chopping up human remains.

02:: IDCLEV (Warp To Level) Warp yarns are subjected to high dynamic forces during the shedding and beat-up. These forces yield tensions on the warp.

03:: IDDQD (Invincible) Invisible Shadows help us Navigate and Plan for Minimal Invasive Surgery.

04:: IDCLIP (Walk Thru Walls) There was an unmet demand inside him, a new, urgent need, which was none other than the need to walk through walls. He could certainly indulge this need…

05:: IDKFA (Kick Fukin’ Ass) A community of artists and those devoted to musical art being dance music in particular that of Techno, Avante techno, tech haus, deep haus and what ever genre you can think of really do Kick Fukin Arse!

06:: IDCHOPPERS (Craig McWhinney Rmx) A two-stroke chainsaw that tears & shreds through invisible walls, threatening to warp & explode through the dead of night.

Manuel Santos - Colmena EP

Dare to be different.

Pinksilver is proud to present an innovative and left-of-centre piece of electronica by Argentinean artist Manuel Santos. Following on with Pinksilver’s love affair of South American artists, Manuel Santos produces crisp synthetic sounds straddled against live instrumentation.

Involuto’ glides through undulating landscapes at a pace of 90bpm; the journey is accompanied by live guitar & heartfelt vocals by Mr. Santos.

Intrinseco’ enters familiar stripped-to-the groove techno which has been a hallmark of recent Pinksilver releases, clicks & cuts etched in a solid groove and stretched with watertight sounds.

Eter’ pulls the listener back & engages them in an intrinsic manner; live electronic guitar accentuating the moody spells within this piece. ‘Eter’ comes with a magnificent video download by Melbourne VJ’s Netzair + Coop, a visual treat that moves as one with the track.

Stereotipo’ (with vocals by Manuel) and ‘Constante’ (featuring the vocals of Mauri) return the listener back to solid 4/4 grooves, straddling deep house and deep techno.

“Nothing’s gonna change my mind”. Saludos!

Pinksilver is proud to present a rising star of the South American electronic music scene, deeply entwined with Latin rhythms, classical arrangements & synthetic textures. His name – Felipe Venegas.

With a background in contemporary music composition this Santiago, Chile native combines classical instrumentation with epic-like sound arrangements that contain texture, colour & depth.

‘Poema (Clax Mahuasco Mix)’ straddles early evening vibes, journeying through pleasant landscapes with long-time friends. Piano Note features an even longer, winding road into darker spaces accentuates with piano chords & a wonderful bassline. An epic track at over 12 minutes that is always building, ‘Piano Note’ is reminiscent of another well-known Chilean plying his trade in Europe to critical claim…

‘Tongboy’ introduces us to Andre Butano on vocals & conga rhythms, a track at home on the beach as the sun sets & the night begins. Motumb is quite simply a dancefloor bomb combing the same Latin rhythms & congas in ‘Tongboy’, this time to a jacking 4/4 beat & shuffling hi-hats.

Closing off the release is ‘Licanantay’ which is the most synthetic track of the release, but quite possibly the most deadly, cutting its way through the night with dark stabs & classic synth reverbs.
