Spiritual and pulsating. Impulsive and sensual. These words only begin to describe the debt EP of Berlin’s Nadja Lind and studio partner Helmut Ebritsch together as Klartraum, in the form of the ‘Downunder Dub’ EP on Pinksilver Digital.

Known for their work on their own label Lucidflow in addition to releases on Darkroom Dubs & Soma Records, ‘Downunder Dub’ delves into dubby sonic soundscapes with a dash of emotion and nostalgia.
The title track ‘Downunder Dub’ delivers subtle, dubby synths amongst a gliding bass drum entwined with vocals that emerge from deep with your sub consciousness.

‘India’ is a 17 minute journey into your inner emotions and back again. Equally art as it is music; ‘India’ is full of rich, complete sonic soundscapes that take the listener deep into the abyss then back again. In a world of very disposable music, ‘India’ is a rare diamond that shines brightly.

The EP is supported by remixes from Pinksilver’s Markojux & Trinity & Beyond. Markojux’s re-touch of ‘Downunder Dub’ retains the dubby synths of the original but adds a more sinister touch to the remix, straddling the finer elements of dub house vibes.

Trinity & Beyond’s remix of ‘Downunder Dub’ puts the focus back on the dreamy synth line as it glides effortlessly throughout its journey, again with a heavy emphasis on the more dubbier strains techno.
An EP for connoisseurs of avant-garde house & techno.

Twenty4.

Pinksilver presents a selection of Australia’s finest up & coming and established artists with the Twenty4 release. A celebration of Australian talent and a gift to underground music connoisseurs across the globe.

Part 3 of the Twenty 4 release charters the more uncompromising elements of techno, with a scattering of Dubstep elements. The release kicks off with Deepchild, these days plying his trade frequently across Europe in arenas such as Berghain. His track ‘Onsen Dramas’ delivers a trademark kick & groove together with an intense use of vocals that leave the listener to their imagination. Pinksilver stalwart Markojux presents ‘On The Run’, a wicked journey deep into the night, a chase between dark elements on the run and noble elements forever a half step behind.

Craig McWhinney delivers us ‘M-99’, a no-nonsense journey into murky dancefloor dynamics, sweeping through the more desolate and dubbier elements of techno. Forty6&Two enter the fray with ‘Dihedral’, complete with rolling basslines & drums as it thunders its way through its path, leaving no compromises in its approach and its destruction. Adelaide’s Phildo gives us ‘Unsound’, a track with a clever and devastating use of diverse sounds that rumbles its way along, perfectly made for big festival arenas.

Hargin’s ‘Rattle’ is a wonderful voyage into techno space, not with a floating pod but more akin to a powerful rocketship, complete with signature rolling basslines and shuffling hats as it tears its way through the stars. Completing Part 3 of ‘Twenty4’ is Melbourne’s Mike Callander with his unique take on sonic acoustics on ‘6.5 Minutes With A Hand On It’, ditching the 4/4 time signature in favour of a more esoteric approach to close the Twenty4 release.

Canberra’s Biggie & Anjay deliver us ‘Ying Yang’, heading into a tougher 4/4 sound packed full of bouncy basslines and a salient synth hook that carries throughout the track. Melbourne’s Closer Apart follow-up with ‘Macro One’, a track that reveals itself as a low-slung groove, with a touch of sensuousness to boot.

Uone picks up the pace on this release with his tech-house number ‘For The Beep’, a probing excursion into funky dancefloor dynamics. Darius Bassiray & Jon Beta deliver ‘Meet Me In The Dunnies’, a rolling groove that is absorbed by a dreamy use of pads & synths, which together with the track title itself sounds rather ominous.

Steve Ward, a Pinksilver favourite and co-owner of Chameleon Recordings, delivers ‘Downtown Shutdown’ which delves into subterranean territory with its spirited use of reverb and vocals. Closing out Part 2 of ‘Twenty4’ is Perth’s Richard Parker, committed Pinksilver foot soldier, with ‘Anagram’, showcasing his unique and complete production skills with a track that has its roots in techno but creates its own sub-genre. [psdtl008] Trinity & Beyond - Gone Fission EP (w/Markojux & Deepchild Remixes)

Sydney, a place famous worldwide for its beautiful harbour, Bondi Beach, Mardi Gras, the Olympic Games, stunning scenery and its vibrant night life, now add to that list its talented pool of DJ’s and producers.

Many years ago Trinity made the trek down south to dj in the techno capital of Australia, Melbourne. Playing at one of Melbourne’s techno institutions right after Pinksilver duo Forty6&Two, she was given a cd from the Pinksilver lads containing their catalogue of music to ponder over. Trinity was profoundly moved by the tracks on that cd, inspiring her to hook up with local producer ‘J’ to create Trinity & Beyond. We welcome them again to the Pinksilver family.

Following in the same vein as their release ‘Beyond Musique’ on Pinksilver Net earlier this year, Trinity & Beyond’s ‘Gone Fission’ uses beautiful flowing atmospherics throughout it’s length. Melodic overtones give the track warmth and fullness that would suit an early-night set, evoking positive energy in any space.

Folds of echoing stabs blanket over the reductive rhythm of ‘Melville Lane’ Giving the track more sense of momentum and purpose to its sister track, ‘Gone Fission’. Deep chords and bit crushing overtones dominate the entirety of the track placing you in a world of lost souls trying to find one another, we are hoping it has found a place in yours.

Deepchild takes Gone Fission and drenches it in warm, atmospheric chords that bounce and slice through the track, giving it a deep and sultry sound. Dark, bit-crushed stabs pierce their way in and out like a broken transmission, possibly sending a message from the depths of space. Melodic pads and intricate percussion play with the flirting low end bass line, giving the track a great sense of balance and familiarity.

A new lease, a new direction, a new life. Markojux incorporates his many influences from Electronica, Dubstep and Minimal Techno in his interpretation of ‘Gone Fission’. Images of a virgin world being constructed conjure up in ones mind listening to the raspy snares smash their way through the intricate, flickering beats. Delicate, luscious pads sweep in and out of the harsh sounds while the twisted, morphing bass plays with the heavy kick drums. A new world is born.

01 – Trinity & Beyond – Gone Fission
02 – Trinity & Beyond – Melville Lane
03 – Trinity & Beyond – Gone Fission (Deepchild Remix)
