Trinity & Beyond is made up of DJ Trinity and music composer J.

J. has had a history of music composition since studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He has played classical guitar and composed classical musical pieces from a very young age, and has also played bass guitar in various bands at live venues around Sydney.He has been experimenting with different electronic sounds since teeing up with Sydney tech-house DJ, DJ Trinity, where he was introduced to the Balance, Renaissance and Global Underground compilations.

Heavily involved with the underground electronic music scene in Australia, Trinity has played at various events and parties including Splendour in the Grass [Byron Bay], The Smirnoff Experience [Mumbai, India], The Playground Weekender, Future Music Festival, Earthdance, Global Underground and Renaissance Ball [Syd], Pretty Simple and Darkbeat [Melb]. Since 2002, Trinity has supported artists such as Satoshi Tomiie [Renaissance], Jona [Get Physical], Alex Kidd [Dynamic Music], Justin Martin [Dirty Bird/Bussin’ Fly Records], Audio Jack [2020 Vision Recordings], Audiofly [Get Physical Music], Deep Child [Get Physical Music], Phonique [Poker Flat], Lutzenkirchen [Great Stuff], Kevin Griffiths [Tsuba], Marc Romboy [Systematic Recordings] and Bjorn Wilke [Kaato Music].

 

The duo produce music on the more melodic and funk driven side of tech house & minimal, being strongly influenced by international producers such as Trentemoller, James Holden, Magda, Someone Else, Alex Smoke, Gaiser and Christian Burkhardt. Their music studio consists of various analogue and digital instruments including, acoustic and bass guitars and key midi controllers.

J. and Trinity have also had air-play on radio stations, JJJ, Proton Radio, FBI and beat.fm.
