Don’t be fooled! Newcomers Duke & Duke have been creating music for years as individuals. Now Colin Snape (AKA Scrambler) and Mark Baumann (Markojux) have joined forces to form Duke & Duke.
Colin has been writing, producing and performing original electronic music for years as Scrambler, and in collaborations to numerous to list here. He’s also maintained a healthy pro career as pianist/keys player along with remixing, producing, programming and ghost writing for big name commercial acts.
Mark has been spent the better part of a decade building a reputation as a force within the Australian underground dance scene as producer, label co-owner of Pinksilver Music, DJ and VJ. As Markojux he has had releases on various labels in addition to other collaborative works.
As Duke & Duke this pair produce a sound that ranges from spacious, warm and jazzy to the tight, edgy, techie minimal.
Renato Figoli began producing music in 2003 following the completion of a sound engineering course at the SAE in Milan, Italy.
Music is a main theme in the life of Renato, crafting varied musical inspirations into the essential Renato Figoli Electronica Style. His sound is a unique take on minimal funkiness, groove orientated and stripped down rhythms with great attention to detail.
The results of his first productions were sent to labels which inspired him and releases quickly followed on the likes of LoFi Stereo, Ware, Gumption Records, Trapez and Claque Music.
He’s played live all over Europe in many renowned clubs including Panoramabar (Berlin), Die Registratur (München), Harry Klein (München),11 Club (Amsterdam), 981 Festival (La Coruna) and Cocoon Club (Frankfurt), including the Cocoon ”Green and Blue“ Festival in front of more than 10,000 party goers.
In 2008 he launched his digital-only label called TantoQuanto which has included the release of his first artist LP ’TQ1’ to critical acclaim, with an EP on Australian label Pinksilver Ltd due for release in 2009.
