Pinksilver is proud to present a rising star of the South American electronic music scene, deeply entwined with Latin rhythms, classical arrangements & synthetic textures. His name – Felipe Venegas.

With a background in contemporary music composition this Santiago, Chile native combines classical instrumentation with epic-like sound arrangements that contain texture, colour & depth.

‘Poema (Clax Mahuasco Mix)’ straddles early evening vibes, journeying through pleasant landscapes with long-time friends. Piano Note features an even longer, winding road into darker spaces accentuates with piano chords & a wonderful bassline. An epic track at over 12 minutes that is always building, ‘Piano Note’ is reminiscent of another well-known Chilean plying his trade in Europe to critical claim…

‘Tongboy’ introduces us to Andre Butano on vocals & conga rhythms, a track at home on the beach as the sun sets & the night begins. Motumb is quite simply a dancefloor bomb combing the same Latin rhythms & congas in ‘Tongboy’, this time to a jacking 4/4 beat & shuffling hi-hats.

Closing off the release is ‘Licanantay’ which is the most synthetic track of the release, but quite possibly the most deadly, cutting its way through the night with dark stabs & classic synth reverbs.

  1. Well ,i discovered this release few months ago and after few listenings i got totally caught into this indescriptible feeling of jungle-malaria-jazzy-raining tropical-lazzy-piano-bar, very good “sound grain” in this release with mix of dancefloor paterns as Motumb and more elastic, boundaries free improvisations pieces… It changes from the usual bleep-bleep-humph-humph-clash-clash sound we can hear a lot nowadays
    Congratulations
